Chamber Spotlight: Energy Resource Hub

Shared by Susan Kruse, Executive Director, Community Climate Collaborative (C3)
Since I first joined C3, I have been dreaming about a resource that would curate all local, state, and federal incentives and rebates in one single searchable database where households and businesses could also receive direct assistance in reducing their carbon footprint. That place now exists thanks to C3 and our partners.
Introducing the Energy Resource Hub! The Energy Resource Hub is a free service that connects homeowners, renters, and businesses in the City of Charlottesville and Albemarle County with rebates and incentives. We find ways to lower the cost of heat pumps, insulation, electric appliances, and other energy efficiency upgrades.
Launched by C3, LEAP, the City of Charlottesville, and the County of Albemarle, the Energy Resource Hub includes local, utility, state, and federal energy efficiency programs. The site also provides opportunities to seek in-person technical assistance and energy assessments from experts at LEAP and C3.
The Energy Resource Hub provides support with the following incentives:
- Rebates for energy-efficient appliances, HVAC systems, and weatherization.
- Incentives for solar installation.
- Tax credits for EV purchases and home EV charger installation.
- Tax credits for energy efficiency home upgrades.
- Rebates for businesses installing EV chargers
The Energy Resource Hub was made possible by funding from the City of Charlottesville and the County of Albemarle. Thanks to their support, there is NO COST to explore the Energy Resource Hub and receive technical support from our team of experts. And if you don’t know where to start, we can help with that too!
Come to our official Energy Resource Hub Launch Party at Carver Recreation Center on March 11 from 4 - 7 pm. You can schedule in-person technical support during the event, or just attend to learn more and celebrate this new resource for our community!
