Chamber to Relocate Offices for 2025

The Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce today announced plans to relocate its staff offices this month ahead of the upcoming sale of the Chamber’s building at 209 5th St NE.

“This is an exciting milestone for our Chamber,” said Sasha Tripp, Chair of the Chamber Board of Directors. “With the sale of our downtown building, we are poised to invest in a new era of business advocacy for Charlottesville, Albemarle County, and the surrounding region.”

“Chamber leaders have considered selling the building for a number of years,” Tripp said. “After many conversations with our Board and members this year, we are thrilled to move ahead with these plans.”

Tripp said the Chamber would share further details once paperwork is complete on the building sale and new office lease.

“Team Chamber has put in a lot of hard work behind the scenes this year, and we look forward to a fantastic year of growth and success in 2025,” said Chamber Board Vice Chair Jonathan Chasen, whose term as Chair begins January 1.

“Our next step is to recruit the new Chamber President & CEO,” Chasen said. “With the building sale and relocation complete, the CEO will have a smooth runway.”

Chamber offices will close for relocation starting December 5, 2024.

“For the month of December, most of our customary programming will be on pause,” said Chamber COO Andrea Copeland. “Our staff will focus on being ready to serve you from our new offices in January.”

While the Chamber’s event calendar is lighter than usual this December, scheduled events include the Free Enterprise Forum “Pancakes & Politics” breakfast December 9 and the Business Women’s Round Table Holiday Luncheon at Farmington December 19.
