Minority Business Alliance Harlem Nights Gala

Chamber Minority Business Alliance (MBA) members and guests stepped into the roaring 20s and 30s for an enchanted evening of sequin gowns, ornate headpieces, top hats, fedoras, feathers, and fun at MBA Presents: Harlem Nights Black Tie Gala.

Attendees showed up dressed to impress as they gathered to support minority enterprises and celebrate the year's success.

The MBA Executive Committee presented the John F. Bell Sr. Vanguard Award to the 2024 recipient, Khalilah Jones with Chic & Classy Image Consulting.

The United Way of Greater Charlottesville announced recipients of the 2024 MBA enterprise grant: Janasha Bradford – Mahogany and Friends; Sasha Morgan – By Sasha Lashae, LLC; Jessica Dizon – Dizon LLC dba Little Manila; Lisa Johnson – Style & Beyond Hair Studio; Shamanda Gregory – Reincarnation of Beauty; Shaniece Bradford – Shaniece Be; and Brenda Pendleton – Mixed Beauty Bar.

Funds raised from the gala will further enhance the benefits offered through MBA membership investment. These benefits include: professional development and training; informative education sessions; networking and resource connections; and competitive funding opportunities.
