State of the Chamber 2024
Chamber members gathered at North Fork April 24 to hear from our staff and Board about recent highlights and exciting new opportunities:
A new Board committee led by Vice Chair Jonathan Chasen will strategize the Chamber's future. Their process will include extensive community engagement in partnership with a consultant.
The Chamber is in excellent financial health. A committee led by Board Member David Mitchell is exploring sale of the Chamber building, in order to strategically reinvest funds in alignment with Chamber priorities.
New Administrative Coordinator Katie Schiwy is joining the staff to build capacity for programs and member services.
The Board will seek to hire a President & CEO after the strategic planning process – no earlier than late 2024.
The Board will examine options to restructure membership dues.
Leaders Lab of Greater Charlottesville is now accepting applications for 2024-25.
New Chamber Abroad program will travel to Tuscany in 2025 – reservations are now open.
WiseChoice Healthcare Alliance is now available for Chamber members to access affordable small business health coverage.
Many thanks go to our volunteer Board, led by Chair Sasha Tripp; our North Fork event host, UVA Foundation; and photographer Franklin Knox.
