PVCC music faculty present free recital Feb. 19

(Charlottesville, Va.) – Members of Piedmont Virginia Community Colleges’ music faculty will perform a recital of vocal and instrumental music on Sunday, Feb. 19, at 3 p.m., in the Main Stage Theatre in the V. Earl Dickinson Building.


A wide variety of selections will be performed including classical works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and George Frideric Handel and modern compositions by eclectic French composer Jacques Ibert, British flautist and composer Ian Clarke, American composer Robert Kyr and impresario of musical theatre Andrew Lloyd Webber.


The recital will feature performances by Melody Day, adjunct instructor of music; Brianne Little, adjunct assistant professor of music; David Wilson adjunct instructor of music; and guest artists Ross Ahlhorn, Wendi Dass and Gina Tuck.

The V. Earl Dickinson Building is located at the south end of College Drive on PVCC’s Main Campus in Charlottesville. Ample, free parking is located in front of the building.
