CHS Students China-bound This Week

Students in the Charlottesville High School Chinese language program will be traveling to China on March 28. The trip is a language immersion experience and includes the opportunity to stay in the homes of different Chinese families along the way. Students will arrive at Shang Hai, China and then take a high speed train to the famous city of HangZhou. Later, they will fly west to Xi An for some time in the rural countryside and a chance to the see the Terra Cotta warriors before concluding the visit in Bei Jing. The trip marks a new phase in the school’s growing Chinese language program, which includes real-time instruction from Chinese teachers via videoconferencing.
