Chamber Business Academy
The Chamber’s Education Services Department is looking for members who are interested in facilitating sessions for our 2016 Spring/Fall Chamber Business Academy. Some of the following topics available are:
-SPEAK UP!: Overcoming Your Fear of Public Speaking
-Embracing Cultural Diversity in the Workplace
-No More Death by PowerPoint. Creating Creative Presentations
-Customer Service: It’s Not a Department, It’s an Attitude
-Making Networking Work for You
-“Excel”-ling at Excel
-Small Business Branding for Big Business Impact
If you’re interested in facilitating one of these sessions, or have a topic idea that isn’t listed, please complete a request for proposal and submit it to our Director of Member Education Services, Andrea Copeland-Whitsett, firstname.lastname@example.org by Friday, January 16. You can also mail it to 209 5th Street NE, Charlottesville, VA 22902 or fax it, 434.295.3144.
Facilitators for these 90-minute sessions: 1) are volunteers 2) must be Chamber members in good standing and 3) must reside in the Greater Charlottesville region. Contact Ms. Copeland-Whitsett if you’re unsure of your membership standing. We enroll enterprises; therefore, your company/organization could be a member and you not know it.
