Charlottesville, VA – Wednesday, August 22, 2018 – Local construction nonprofit Building Goodness Foundation (BGF) is the recipient of a $25,000 restricted grant from Stony Point Design/Build for its work with local partner, Pilgrim Baptist Church.
The grant from Stony Point Design/Build will be used towards, material purchases, coordination, and implementation of renovation work BGF and Pilgrim Baptist Church are doing at the church’s 10th and Page neighborhood location. Pilgrim Baptist Church has been a mainstay in the community since 1965 and is working with BGF to do an addition to the existing church building in order to host after school, early learning, and other community development programs. The grant was presented at the groundbreaking of the new Dairy Central, a project of Stony Point Design/Build in the 10th & Page neighborhood. Furthermore, a $5000 matching grant has been offered if BGF and Pilgrim Baptist Church can raise an additional $5000 before the end of the year.
