Scouting for Food
The Boy Scouts of America have annual Scouting for Food Drive and is around the corner. Every year, SFF supports The Blue Ridge Area Food Bank and local food pantries in the 13 counties of the Stonewall Jackson Area Council. Not only does this act of philanthropy positively influence the people in need, but it also effects our scouts. It shows the scouters the true meaning behind being helpful, friendly, kind, and cheerful. Let’s make this event the biggest it has ever been!
How Does This Work?
During the month of the October, we encourage everyone to compile bags of non-perishables. When you have collected all that you can, you can either drop off the bags at your local food bank or at Kroger Hydraulic Rd on the 24th of October before 5 p.m.
If you decide to turn in the bags to a local food bank, please let them know that this philanthropy act is helping the Scouting for Food event hosted by the Boy Scouts of America.
Every bag helps a family in need, so please help us feed America!
