Local Decision Makers Will Convene for Fourth Annual State of the Community

The Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce invites local leaders to discuss the regional economy at the Chamber’s fourth annual State of the Community event, February 21 at Piedmont Virginia Community College in Charlottesville.

Executive leaders of the City of Charlottesville and Albemarle County will share insights on the business climate and opportunities in the upcoming year.

The State of the Community is hosted annually by the Chamber Public Policy Committee, a group of Chamber members who advise the Board of Directors on public policy issues.

This year's meeting will be held at the new state of the art Woodrow W. Bolick Advanced Technology and Student Success Center (The Bolick Center) from 8am to 10am. Admission, which includes breakfast, is $45 for Chamber members and $60 for non-members.

Event Agenda and Panelists

The State of the Community will be moderated by Public Policy Committee Chairwoman Dr. Mariane Asad Doyle, Executive Director of the Center for Nonprofit Excellence.

Speakers include:

  • Sam Sanders, Jr, City Manager, City of Charlottesville
  • Jeff Richardson, Executive, Albemarle County
  • Antwon Brinson, CEO, Culinary Concepts AB
  • Hamilton Lombard, Estimates Program Manager, Weldon Cooper Center

Breakfast, catered by A Seat At The Table Events, will be served starting at 8am. The program begins at 8:30am.
