Interviewing & Onboarding New Hires Workshop with Cville SHRM

Cville SHRM member Leslie Andrus shared her tips on how to prepare for a successful interview process, using competency and behavior based questioning, do’s and don’ts for interviewing, and techniques for effective onboarding.

Leslie has over 25 years of experience in Human Resources (HR) and Talent Development, helping to support and/or lead the HR or learning function at LexisNexis, WorldStrides, UVA, and now the Seraphic Group. She was hired by Seraphic Group in 2018 as Director of Human Resources with the goal of building the HR function at the growing company. She is now the Director of Learning and Development at Seraphic, building out that function as a next step in the evolution of the company. She has a master’s degree from the University of Virginia and is certified as a SHRM-Senior Certified Professional, and a HCI certified Strategic Workforce Planning professional. Leslie is also a member of the local Charlottesville SHRM.
