The Final Four: A Winning Wager
Elizabeth Cromwell, President and CEO of the Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce, issued a formal challenge today to Lolly Steiner, president of the Auburn (AL) Chamber of Commerce.
"The Charlottesville business community is fired up about the Final Four and the UVA Men's Basketball team! On behalf of the Chamber, I am betting on a victory against the Auburn University Tigers. My friendly wager is that if the University of Virginia Cavaliers lose this Final Four game, we’ll send you a case of fine Virginia wine, made by a chamber member. If your Auburn Tigers lose, I hope you’ll send something just as nice from Auburn.”
Cromwell was referring to the upcoming Final Four basketball game between the University of Virginia Cavaliers and the Auburn University Tigers. This takes place this Saturday, April 6, at 6:09 pm ET on CBS. The winner goes on to the NCAA finals game on Monday evening.
“We are proud of our team,” Cromwell went on. “The University of Thomas Jefferson is going all out against the University of Charles Barkley.”
“Let the game begin.”
