Meetings held 1st Friday of each month, 9-1030am, Our Lady of Peace.
“The mission of the Senior Business Round Table is to provide education about local businesses and services that support personal choice and vitality in the second half of life, and to provide a forum to develop relationships with the members of the round table who serve in the that community.”
Who is the SBRT?
The Chamber of Commerce Senior Business Round Table-SBRT (formerly Aging in Place Business Round Table) is composed of businesses and organizations that provide products or services which enable and support their clients who are choosing to “age in the place of their choice.” The group’s meetings and activities provide opportunities for members that serve the 50+ age market to work together to educate themselves and their clients of the diverse public and private programs and services in our area that may benefit clients, their families and caregivers, and the greater community.
SBRT as a Resource
SBRT participants are dedicated to serving their clients, informed about others who serve, and willing to educate others. Therefore they are a rich resource for consumers, caregivers, families, and other service providers. To learn more about the services of any SBRT participant or for advice on matters of interest for people over 50 years of age, contact the member using the information provided in this section, or contact any member of the SBRT Executive Committee.
SBRT Group Meetings
The SBRT meets monthly on the first Friday of each month from 9:00am – 10:30am at Our Lady of Peace, unless otherwise noted.
For specific meeting details, refer to the Chamber calendar. Meetings are free of charge. Chamber members are welcome and encouraged to attend the SBRT meetings. Non-Chamber members – both service providers and consumers — are welcome to attend two meetings before becoming Chamber members.
The purpose of SBRT meetings is to educate the group about topics that will serve their clients or their practices and to learn more about the services that other members offer. Meetings are structured but are collaborative and informal; they are a place for us to learn from and enjoy the fellowship of each other. Attendees regularly refer clients between each other based on the trust built during these interactions.
Speaking at an SBRT Meeting
There are two speaking opportunities at each SBRT meeting: a ten-minute “Member Spotlight” section where an SBRT member describes their services, and a 25 section in which a speaker educates the group about a topic of interest. If you would like to request to speak in either of these sections, contact Erica Younglove.
Each SBRT meeting includes a section for announcements. If you would like to submit an announcement for the meeting, contact Angie Keating.
