Charlottesville, VA – The Charlottesville Business Innovation Council (CBIC) has assembled a leading group of marketing experts to host an open discussion on the principles of high-performance marketing. This session continues the 2015 season for Tech Night Takeovers (TNT) – CBIC’s popular program for area entrepreneurs.

Panelists include David Chapin, president and CEO of Forma Life Science Marketing. Located in Raleigh-Durham, Mr. Chapin works with technology companies regarding the strategic marketing of their businesses and in the design and development of high-tech, high-touch products. He recently published the highly acclaimed book, “Making the Complex Compelling: Creating High Performance Marketing in the Life Sciences.”

Mr. Chapin will be joined by local marketing experts David Robinson and Linda Kolker. Mr. Robinson is the founding partner of Birch Studio, an agency honored with many awards and accolades from the Central Virginia Marketing Association. He has founded several additional ventures, including the Healthy Living Directory, EastBirch.com and the Communications Arts Guild. Ms. Kolker is an independent practitioner and content strategist involved with numerous high-level marketing projects. She helps companies and non-profit organizations connect with their target audiences using marketing communications across web and print media.  In addition, she teaches best practices for web content writing.

The session will be moderated by Dr. Martin Chapman, founder and president of Indoor Biotechnologies, a world leader in environmental allergen detection systems. Dr, Chapman is a former professor of medicine and microbiology at the University of Virginia.

Strategic Marketing for Technology-Based Businesses, will be held on Thursday, April 2nd, from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at The Haven, 112 W. Market St., in downtown Charlottesville across from Lee Park. TNT events are open to CBIC members and their guests, as well as to potential new CBIC members. Each event features a one-hour talk show style panel with audience participation followed by an early evening, after-hours social.
