Blue Ridge Area Food Bank: Feed 400,000 while supporting Coach Bennett and the Cavaliers

We have some exciting news over here at the Food Bank… we are so grateful to report that Coach Tony Bennett (UVA Men’s Basketball) has selected the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank as his charity partner in the 2017 Infiniti Coaches Charity Challenge. If Tony receives enough votes, the Food Bank will receive $100,000 giving us the opportunity to provide 400,000 meals.

Here’s how you can help:

  • There will be four rounds of voting competition running for 10 weeks – January 2 through March 2017.  We hope we can count on your continued help over the coming weeks.
  • Each of the four rounds will last 3 weeks.  At the end of each round, the coaches with the most votes will advance on to the next.  The charities that do not advance will receive donations at each level ($1,000 in Round 1; $7,500 in Round 2; $10,000 in Round 3; and $15,000 in Round 4).  The overall winner’s charity will receive $100,000.  That’s a lot of food for hungry neighbors!
  • Here’s how you can help:
  • Go to  www.espn.com/Infiniti starting January 2 and vote DAILY!

Help us make a difference in the lives of our fellow Virginians struggling with food insecurity – 400,000 meals will go a very long way.
